Jim Goad: When Jilted Lovers Commit Hate-Crime Hoaxes

March 7, 2017 By Kathy Shaidle

Jim Goad on the Juan Thompson car-crash-trainwreck-in-a-coal-mine-collapse narrative explosion:

Despite the fact that Trump is the most slavishly philo-Semitic president I can imagine short of, say, Rahm Emanuel and an IDF guerrilla squad staging a White House coup, the accusations of his alleged “anti-Semitism” have been loud and long and relentless. A highly publicized spate of anti-Jewish bomb threats and cemetery desecrations nationwide have only emboldened the drumbeat for Trump to “renounce” or “disavow” these alleged events—which he’s done several times, despite having nothing to do with them. He was also roundly mocked for suggesting that some of them could have been staged “reverse” events to “make people look bad.”

Apoplectic Bolshevik Bernie Sanders solemnly warned Trump that “the whole world is watching” for Trump’s response to the presumed “significant outbreak of anti-Semitism in our country.” Must suck for Bernie that the accused perp of at least eight of these anti-Jew outbreaks is a dedicated Sanders supporter who calls Trump a “racist/sexist/capitalist monster.”

Hell, that’s nothing:

Jilted lovers brought you Lawrence v. Texas…

PS: One of those “vandalized Jewish cemetery” stories turns out to be so tragi-comic, it sounds like the outline for an unfinished Mordechai Richler short story…

Police and the general manager of a Jewish cemetery in Brooklyn said that 42 fallen headstones were not caused by vandals, saying Sunday that the memorials had naturally tipped over due to age — though some elected officials were calling for an investigation, anyway. (…)

“We do appreciate the community’s concern but if they would have called the office we would have explained it to them,” she added.
