Greg Gutfeld apologizes for no reason; Canada now looks even stupider

March 23, 2009 By admin

Guys, when you’re a comedy writer and you hear a Canadian bigshot declare that “the Army needs to take a year off,” the “yoga” jokes write themselves.

Greg Gutfeld is that rare thing: a talented conservative humorist. That the Canadian Conservative government demanded an apology for this is pathetic.

Gutfeld didn’t joke about our men and women in uniform. He and the panel joked about our pathetic equipment — and our equipment is pathetic and everybody knows it.

The Canadian government should divert millions away from the Human Rights Commissions and useless ministries focused on women and Indians and immigrants and build up our military instead.

They certainly shouldn’t waste their time criticizing a genuinely funny, countercultural American tv show that airs at 3 in the morning. Especially for quite simply telling an upleasant truth.

UPDATE: Canadian soldier, fittingly, gets the last word.
