Was Bill Kristol Planning Another Political Party All Along?

An investigation into the websites backing the so-called Renegade Party confirms that neoconservative columnist Bill Kristol has been plotting an anti-Trump political party since before a single vote was cast.

Kristol’s Renegade Party was set up on January 10th — nearly a month before the Iowa Caucus.

([The WhoIs address is] the address for the Weekly Standard, a tax exempt organization. We’re not sure how Kristol can form a political party from a nonprofit.) (…)

I remember arguing with him in 2010 or 2011 about the morality and wisdom of the Afghanistan War and he told me to read the Weekly Standard. I did and did not find Kristol’s arguments persuasive.

I’ve since learned that the failures of Iraq and Afghanistan were baked into its people. Cousin marriage and low I.Q. do not a strong republic make. The habits and the biology of a people predict its destiny. (…)

Still I can’t ignore certain weird things about the Kristol family over the years. They seem to have gotten rich through personal, political connections as their ideas have suffered.

And it’s becoming something of a family business now that Kristol’s son-in-law Matthew Continetti is with the Washington Free Beacon. Continetti seems afraid of the rise of the alt right. Could it be because Continetti understands that the world that the neocons once lived in is over?
