As Mark Steyn has said, the National Review and the GOP establishment “created” Trump, so watching them throw fits on this topic is sad.

Even if everything Cooke says about Trump is absolutely right — and in fact I agree with him on Palin, for the most part — Cooke STILL doesn’t get it. And it doesn’t matter.
It’s like a slave master yelling at his escaping slaves as they run through two feet of snow, “But guys! There’s a blizzard! You’ll all freeze to death!”
And he’s correct, telling the absolute truth.
