The punchline to Ben Howe’s article is the “update” at the bottom:

This “trailer” isn’t a “trailer” for a real movie at all; it was just an ad for CPAC.

Makes the whole situation even more embarrassing, but sums up the modern conservative “movement” (that is, the “Establishment” masquerading as a “movement”) perfectly.
