Gays want to have it both ways, vol. XVII

July 25, 2012 By Kathy Shaidle

As I’ve been saying.

Now, Exhibit #7,051:

Someone at the U of S who works extensively in recruiting told me that openly  gay candidates often tell him that they can’t see themselves living in  Saskatoon. That shouldn’t be a surprise.

At Saskatoon’s recent Pride parade, although six city councillors proudly  participated wearing City Council Pride T-shirts, there were conspicuous  absences, among them Saskatoon’s ubiquitous mayor who has never participated in the parade.

***
That’s right:

Gays don’t feel welcome in city that has an annual Gay Pride parade endorsed by the city council.

Because only TOTAL 100% acceptance and embrace will be tolerated, or temper tantrums will ensue.

Possibly more ridiculous?

Those sentences were penned by a professional journalist, then printed in an actual newspaper — presumably without a single editor going “Wait, huh??”
