Are we that desperate to find something to keep us angry?
My argument was that while this story is despicable in every way, why are some of our best and brightest online engaging in such a deep discussion over it. Are we so desperate to find instances of racism (by the way, the guy who designed this cake was Black) that we will travel half way around the world to find it?
Why is it that a bunch of White people in Sweden eating cake will generate more comments, drive more web traffic than let’s say another Black kid who was shot by another Black kid the other night in our own backyard.
