The proper phrase is “carpet muncher,” not “carpet eater” anyhow.
I guess kids these days live in such rhetorically sterile environments that actual politically incorrect insults are now ancient, second hand heretical hearsay. So they can’t even get them right when they try to be naughty.
It’s like children in Bible class who think Joan of Arc was Noah’s wife.
