I got a 100% “no, I think that too!!!” response to my previous post, so let’s make this an ongoing series.
Mickey Kaus has his own well-paying blog and gets to go on Ricochet and you name it, basically because he makes the kinds of “original observations” I’ve been making since I was 14, except he’s, what? 55 years old?
And he makes them with this “maybe it’s me, but” real or imaginary “shock” — like here for instance.
(He’s like the audio and print version of a dog cocking his head to one side…)
So: is he stupid or is he pretending to be stupid to keep his career going as a kind of “Democrat we can get along with” who “makes occasionally funny remarks and laughs at our jokes and doesn’t totally hate us”?
I mean, let’s face it: it’s not like he’s either Mr. Universe or has a beautiful speaking voice, so his semi-media fame eludes me.
Once again: please advise.
