MS: I would love to believe that this is not Bob Dole and Howard Baker, but I worry, in fact. I worry that after November, the sort of natural Dole/Bakerization ratchets will take effect, and we will, and this, the so-called new breed of Republican cat will turn out to be just some, you know, moth-eaten pussy that purrs with delight when the Democrats roll him over on his back and scratch his tummy.
