5 Feet of Fury

BlogMe is now live for everyone!

Because I use the MarketMeSuite application for Twitter/Facebook, I got first dibs on their latest addition to their features:

BlogMe.

With BlogMe, I created a new WordPress blog, using one of the many really nice premium WordPress themes, and get free hosting for one year.

So I’m using one of the “kathy shaidle” related domains I’ve been sitting on, to experiment with a new online portfolio/resume site. I’ll let you know when it’s (more or less) done so you can take a look.

Anyway, today BlogMe is open to everyone. If you’re looking for a really affordable WordPress blog set up, check it out.

You can get one WordPress blog with the theme of your choice, with one year’s FREE hosting, for just $3.99.

OR you can buy a $39 package. That one time fee gives you 10 blogs and free hosting. There are other packages available too.

So far I’m very happy with the BlogMe set up.

The step by step set up process was fast and easy. There’s a part where, if you’re already sitting on a doman name, you have to go to Register.com or wherever it is and change your DNS information; that sounds daunting but BlogMe has all the directions and it is just a matter of cutting and pasting a few lines of numbers.

If you haven’t used WordPress before but always wanted to try it, these BlogMe packages give you a practically FREE way to play around with the popular blog creation platform.

The great thing about WordPress are the plug-ins that let you customize and optimize your blog’s SEO, favicon and all kinds of stuff. After blogging for 10 years, I took the leap to WordPress at my new Twitter blog and I’m glad I did.

It is kind of addictive, actually.

Anyway, you can find out more about BlogMe HERE. I’m biased because I’m a customer, as you can tell.

(If you’re not sure, there’s a free webinar today at 3PM ET all about BlogMe, that will visually walk you through the different features, show you the templates and so forth.)
