Just what did the CBC’s “neutral” pollster tell Ignatieff to do?
He told Ignatieff to pit Canadians against each other.
Region against region, class against class, province against province, race against race, and even sexual orientation against sexual orientation.
He actually called it a “war” amongst Canadians. As in, Ignatieff should try to start one.
It’s insane advice: a strategy of attacking national unity, instead of building it.
Treating some Canadians with respect but others with contempt.
Provoking dischord and sowing seeds of dissent, for raw political gain.
My, how the Liberal Party has fallen.

Frankly, such a war would be fantastic.
It is long overdue.
Canada’s liberal elite need to realize that not all of us embrace their misguided policies and failed experiments in social engineering.
Decades on, no more people are bilingual than there were when the policy was enacted, to the tune of billions of dollars.
Heath care needs a total overhaul, including a private option.
We need to stop funding every single solitary ethnic/multicultural group in the country.
We need to slash taxes and services, shut down the gun registry, and stop immigration from Muslim countries.
The liberal elite can’t accept that millions of Canadians agree with me on these points. They can’t accept it because they don’t hear their voices.
A “war” would unleash these voices, and they’d finally have no choice but to hear them.
Would they listen? Probably not. But the liberal elite could no longer maintain the fiction that they speak for Canada. And that would be a good start.
Americans have been having such “wars” since forever. And they are a better country than Canada. Hint.
