Canada’s iconic donut chain, Tim Horton’s, was reportedly planning to co-sponsor a rally in Rhode Island next week, put on by the National Organization for Marriage.
One at which — gasp!! — a “worship concert” will be taking place.
These whiny, confused troublemakers bullied Tim Horton’s into dropping their sponsorship with a petition.
Tim Horton’s now says they didn’t realize the rally was a “religious” or “political” event, even though it was being put on by, well, the National Organization for Marriage.
I find it hard to believe that the “thousands” of other community events Tim Horton’s participates in across the U.S. and Canada each year have no “political” or “religious” overtones. Just this one. Suddenly. Weird…
We’ll never know the real reason Tim Horton’s caved.
