Wendy Sullivan: an insider’s view of CPAC

February 26, 2009 By admin

Wendy Sullivan writes:

[Townhall’s live streaming video of CPAC] also misses the lines for book signings, the crowds around the NRA booth, and the general friendly buzz coming from the conventioneers. Those manning the booths don’t get bored, as they would at other venues or conferences. Quite the opposite: Random strangers will frequently pass by with a cup of coffee to have a chat. Conservatives and libertarians all get along, if only for the three days of the conference. People leave their stuff – laptops, BlackBerrys, bags – all in the hands of virtual strangers who, for the three days of CPAC, are their new BFFs.
