Do Canadian cops hate Jews?

February 27, 2009 By admin

It’s bad enough that the cops didn’t charge this woman with uttering death threats, which was still a crime last I heard.

But this is — no, not astonishing. Just depressing:

Jewish students attacked at York University now face charges  — for demonstrating without a permit!

Once upon a time, I was on a tv panel, arguing about the Human Rights Commissions, their expensive and pointless persuit of “basement Nazis” with an earnest young liberal who happens to be Jewish.

After the show, the Christian host turned to me and said, in all seriousness, “Besides, Kathy, if there really were Nazis hell bent on taking over Canada, you and I and a bunch of our friends would just go down to one of their rallies and beat them up.”

He and I began talking about the relative merits of crowbars vs. baseball bats, when the earnest young Liberal piped up:

“Oh no! What a horrible thing to say! We don’t beat people up in Canada! That’s why we have laws, and police.”

Yep: two Christians seriously discussing how they’d protect the Jewish guy from the Nazis — except he apparently doesn’t want to be protected. At least by us. He thinks the police will protect him.

Hah.
