When Tom Cruise’s crappy vampire movie came out, Oprah had an audience screening, then opening it up for questions.

The mood was subdued considering that Cruise was on stage with her; the reception could be categorized as forced, “applause sign” enthusiasm.

After a few polite questions, a black woman stood up and asked Oprah how she could show them such a horrible movie, about such diabolical things.

This freed up a big slice of the crowd to side with the black woman, cheering her on.

Obviously, Oprah and Cruise were totally thrown. Lots of “it’s just a movie” and so on. That didn’t help.

I never forgot it, obviously.

Now all this Spirit Cooking stuff comes out and I can tell you right now:

Many black voters will NOT be impressed.

This is a big problem.
