Rosa Parks has a lot to answer for

December 12, 2015 By Kathy Shaidle

As Ann Coulter articulated a few years back — putting into words something I’d struggled to express since the 1980s — the Civil Rights Movement valourized belligerence.

Yes, (trainee communist) Rosa Parks and the Woolworth’s sit-in-ers were, indeed, just sitting.

But the mental and physical boundaries of “civil disobedience” predictably expanded incrementally until we have trannies declaring themselves the Gandhi of the ladies’ room, and have to deal with this bullying (to put it mildly) Greenpeace witness-tamperer who clearly believes he is on the side of the angels.
