The “fake but accurate” irony — it BURNS!!!

Melissa Click, the communications professor who sought to keep reporters from a public area at the University of Missouri Monday, apologized. The student photographer who was valiant in trying to do his job accepted and said she was gracious. Perhaps she can now help teach at least one class on the perils of really stupid, if fleeting actions in the Internet age and how quickly a viral lynch mob can be set into motion. Anyhow, here’s my message to James Warren:
Hey, James! You kinda left out the bit about Click calling out for “some muscle” to get rid of the pesky student reporter.
Maybe you can teach a class on how inciting assault against a reporter working on public property is just “a really stupid, if fleeting action.”
Because I for one would love to learn why it’s not, oh, I dunno… borderline fascism.
Surely a very real, not “viral,” lynch mob could have been “quickly set into motion” had those protesters taken Click up on her request.
I guess even they have the good sense to ignore J-school profs…
Anyhow, “viral lynch mob” you seem so dismissive of were just
crazy right-wingerssane, normal people simply pointing out the irony of a “communications professor” advocating the violent silencing of a member of your/her profession.
