TCM’s ‘Cult Picks’ for November are mostly blah

Nothing’s jumping out at me.

Today’s Halloween programming is also “blah” — too much Hammer for me — but picks up with a Val Lewton marathon starting at 8pm. I already own the box set this lineup is based on, including Scorsese’s valentine to Lewton, but that’s rarely stopped me from watching TCM before.

Lewton’s method inspired this sequence in The Bad and the Beautiful (1952):
