Yeah, it kinda does– you know, when Muslims actually kill us and stuff.
This is like the “He looked at me funny” school of Islamophobia.
After every Muslim terror attack, you hear about some Muslim complaining that someone allegedly “looked at me funny on the subway.”
I had one of those after 9/11, when my (former) best friend and co-worker told me that that had happened to a Muslim colleague (who was a high strung South African drama queen, by the way.)
“She’s lucky she’s still alive to be ‘looked at,'” I shot back.

This “looked at funny” meme reminds me of the tedious “I’m a recovering Catholic!” thing that idiots say no matter how benign their experience of Catholic school really was.
Anyhow, it’s all about keeping the “I” in “Islam.”
