GM: When I was a teenager, Nazi skinheads were a big thing. They were everywhere and I remember thinking back then that it seemed unusual a group of white teenagers would care so much about Jews and blacks in a country where there were barely any of either. I remember you telling me the government was a huge part of the Nazi movement back then and now it all makes sense.
EZ: Back in the 80s, CSIS (Canada’s CIA) were posing as white supremacists and starting organizations that ended up being very successful. There were probably more government Nazis than there were real Nazis and they ended up creating a movement.
They continued to do this for years. CHRC bureaucrats went on racist message boards and often left more comments than were there naturally.
