Besides being Italian, ‘Very few of those men had jobs’

I hate to disagree with the photographer and the model themselves, but if this photo is supposed to depict a woman feeling “empowered” and “having a wonderful time,” then it is a very bad photograph, because that’s not what I and generations of viewers, male and female, have seen in it.

Some conservatives are a little to eager to be “not progressives.”

I’ve probably been catcalled a half-dozen times in my life.

What I’ve gotten all my life is “Smile!” because I have Bitchy Resting Face.

Men who yell “Smile!” at me tend to regret it…

I’ve received one very welcome shout-out from a construction worker, however:

I was walking towards the Sun News studio when one said (not yelled), “I like your t-shirt.”

It was my “It’s Not Racist If It’s True” tee.

That made my week.
