Young people SHOULD buy insurance, of all kinds, when they’re young and healthy. I’m still paying less than $4 a month for my “enough to bury me and pay off my credit cards” life insurance policy that I took out 30 years ago.
If we were allowed to buy health insurance in Canada, I would have done so at the same time, pre-lupus etc.
