This guy floats the genius idea that, hey, that “-gate” scandal suffix is getting kind of stale, huh.

Which I’ve been saying for years, having proposed “-quiddick” with little uptake.

Although if you want to know how the Watergate complex got its name, I give this guy credit: He’s the first writer I’m aware of who’s bothered to explain. He also proposes “-ghazi” as an alternative, even though/because he thinks Benghazi was no biggie.
