On Boxing Day, The Clash’s Mick Jones and Paul Simonon will present a two-hour special This Is Radio Clash, which will air between 1pm and 3pm [London time – 8am to 10am Toronto].
The pair will explore their forays into punk, protest, rebellion and infusing reggae, dub, funk, jazz and hip-hop into their sound.

The Stooges frontman will present two shows over the festive period – the first one on Christmas Day between 1pm and 3 pm, and the second one on New Year’s Day at the same time.
The punk icon said of his shows: “To come up with the tunes that fit the concept of each show, I’ve had to dig back to things that I haven’t heard in a long, long time, but that still carry memories of joy and compulsion. I thought I better check these old numbers to see if they still made the grade for me. They still do.”
“I was a little worried that the listening might feel ragged for the kind of people who can’t embrace Duane Eddy and, say, The Last Poets in the same hour with Doc Watson,” he continued. “Well, that’s too damn bad. I’ve listened to all this music for the shows and it all flows for me. I hope to reach out and touch you.”
Alice Cooper’s annual local Christmas party for the kids:
After 12 years Alice says “I’ve seen so many of these kids grow up right in front of me here.”
Alice Cooper has been a resident of Phoenix, Arizona all of his life. “I grew up in Phoenix,” he told Fox News reporter Troy Hayden. “I went to elementary school, high school and college here. I watched his go from 500,000 to 5 million. How can you not take care of these kids?”
Alice has toured the world year in year out and says, “You realise that kids are all alike everywhere in the world. They love the idea of Christmas, music and everybody dressed up silly and it’s the one day that they could get anything they want.”
He summarized his job as “I am lucky to be in this position”.
