I don’t have a ton to say about Lou Reed, actually

October 27, 2013 By Kathy Shaidle

One of the great “punk rock Jews,” of course — even though he hated punk.

(See, “Lou Reed, Mensch.”)

I’m pretty amazed he lived to age 71, and that he pre-deceased Iggy Pop.

Rolling Stone broke the news and has a long obit. (And 500+ comments already.)

Not surprisingly, his official site is loading slowly.

Ed Driscoll comments at PJMedia.

#RIP Lou Reed trending.

Spare a thought for the untold thousands who Reed inspired to become sluts and junkies and died before he did.

It’s so weird that right this minute, “Perfect Day” has been rediscovered thanks to that Playstation 4 commercial.
