The read ‘IRS scandal’ is the spectacle of ‘Christian’ ‘liberty’ groups begging for State approval

May 18, 2013 By Kathy Shaidle

There is nothing “outrageous” about the State pushing back against “non-profit” groups that supposedly reject the State’s size, or even its legitimacy while tugging their forelocks, begging for that very State’s favors.

If you believe in small government, why are you participating in this exercise in bureaucratic approval?

Why are you playing along with the rules of a tax code you supposedly wish to dismantle?

No real Tea Party group has any business being a “registered” anything, and playing the same game it claims to find immoral.

This is true of churches as well.

If you flirt with the State you should expect all this, and worse.
