‘Many of my critics are, forgive me, just plain stupid’

April 28, 2013 By Kathy Shaidle

Michael Coren:

I spent an entire morning with Gerry Adams a couple of years ago, and covered Northern Ireland for Britain’s New Statesman magazine. Believe me, only a child or a fool would assume religion has had much to do with the troubled region for more than a century.

But then these deniers do indeed live in the past. They’re hitting out at mummy and daddy, screaming that as children of privilege they’re in fact radicals and warriors. Comrades, tweeting about revolution and applying for more student grants is not the stuff of Bolshevism.
