In most instances I’ve observed over the years, “social change” has amounted to little more than making the major actors in your pathetic and eternal Morality Play swap out their Angel and Devil costumes. In the same way that “niggers” used to be the bad guys, now the “racists” are. People generally are very simpleminded minnows who are very easily persuaded by peer pressure. They can’t seem to push their minds one inch beyond a howlingly simplistic good guys/bad guys model. Nor have they evolved one millimeter beyond the whole joining-a-mob-to-shame-nonconformists thing.
