March 28, 2013 By Kathy Shaidle

Reveries:

That verb is “obsessed,” which apparently took off in 2008 and today shows up on Twitter at a rate of approximately five times per minute. Its rise, according to Erin McKean of Wordnik, is similar to that of “neurotic,” which similarly “started as a diagnosis and ended up as an adjective that became more social than clinical.”
