‘I AM JOHN DOE’ shirts support Canadian blog’s fight for free speech

March 27, 2013 By Kathy Shaidle

johndoe_shirtThanks to HollywoodLoser for doing this!

“Our double-sided I AM JOHN DOE shirts were made as part of a fundraising campaign for the Free Dominion website, for an important free-speech case coming up in court in September 2013.

“They’re only $20 — FREE North American shipping included.

“A portion of all proceeds goes directly to the Free Dominion Legal Defense Fund.

“Here is a short summary of the case, provided by Free Dominion’s Connie Fournier:

“‘Richard Warman is a former employee of the Canadian Human Rights Commission and he singlehandedly launched nearly every Section 13 complaint that was ever launched regarding internet speech. He has sued Mark and Connie Fournier and eight Free Dominion ‘John Does’ for defamation because they discussed his record in their internet forum. In September, a jury of his peers will hear about all of the things that he has done, and they will make a legal determination about his reputation. The outcome of this case will have an impact on the future of our freedom to talk about government institutions and the actions of their employees.'”
