Why don’t black people know any Beatles songs?

So for the nth year in a row, it was Beatles Week on American Idol, and for the nth year in a row, none of the black contestants had ever heard a Beatles song before.

It’s like the black dude on that car-repo-quiz show, who couldn’t name any of the Beatles.

I kind of envy them, actually…

Anyhow, yesterday Yoko posted this picture (left) and we’re all supposed to feel bad and stuff.

“Barack Obama” re-tweeted it (not.)

So one million people have been shot to death in a country of 300,000,000 people, over 32 years.

That’s just over 31,000 people a year.

In other words, a statistically insignificant number.

However, a statistically significant number of those shot to death were black, likely killed by other blacks or (these days) Hispanics.

So now we have Yoko Ono pretending to be care about the deaths of people who didn’t care about her husband, and “Barack Obama” giving her the high five, even though he evidently cares more about shot-to-death white kids in Connecticut than black kids in his home town.

Moral preening. Ya gotta love it.
