Victor Eeyore Hanson: ‘Is there even such a thing as retirement anymore?’

February 19, 2013 By Kathy Shaidle

Me: Why should there be?

Retirement is a very recent phenomenon. We all know why 65 was chosen as “retirement” age when it was: few people lived to be more than… 67.

Retirement was a fad.

Having a “retirement plan” is like having a “hula hoop plan” or a “Charleston plan.”

The government is going to seize your RSPs anyhow.

My retirement plan is death.
