If that’s the true reason behind the book’s success, this means that women do not yearn for liberation if liberation means trying to have a career and be a mother at the same time. They apparently do not want such freedoms because frankly they are a pain in the ass. They have realized that most work sucks. And they are not wrong.

Proof that women are stupid and lazy:
Novels like 50 Shades of Grey have been openly and cheaply available by the hundreds for as long as I can remember (i.e. since the 1980s) in the “Erotica” section of every mainstream bookstore chain.
But women are stupid and lazy so they a) don’t go to bookstores and b) need someone else to forward them a (very badly written) e-book.
