Woody Allen’s list is predictably middlebrow and encrusted with aspic.
Tarrantino’s is worse, and as juvenile as you’d expect:
The Bad News Bears? I like Jaws and Carrie, too, but Dazed and Confused is just a soundtrack with old Sears catalog pictures stuck to it. Ugh.
(And if he’s hinting that he’s planning to remake Rolling Thunder, God help us all.)
My Darling Clementine used to make way more lists but it looks like Michael Mann is the only one who remembers.
Ashes and Diamonds makes a number of lists, mostly, I’m convinced, because of the sunglasses.
You’ll notice that The Godfather 1 & 2 isn’t on anyone’s lists. That’s because everyone is starting to realize they are overrated.
