Sun picks up my husband’s scoop: Toronto School Board promoting killer Che Guevara

Joe Warmington writes:

“He was not a doctor so that is wrong saying he was,” said American author and Cuban revolution critic Humberto Fontova, who will appear with Ezra Levant on The Source Tuesday on The Sun News Network. “There are no records of him being a doctor. It’s all a lie. He did not finish medical school.”

Will the kids be taught that?

The Blazingcatfur blog spot, which brought this to light, called the whole thing “about as critical as this load of propaganda gets.”

Some of the comments on the blog wonder if it would be acceptable to have a learning day on how “Hitler brought in gun control” or “Stalin established health care.”

It’s certainly not acceptable to the losing side of the revolution, and the hundreds of thousands of Cubans who considered themselves in exile thanks to the communists. Fontova’s family was forced to leave when he was seven.

There’s no mention on the TDSB website about the firing squads.

Hopefully the TDSB, which doesn’t like pop machines or french fries in cafeterias and abhores bullying, will make sure it’s not a romance story taught.

“I don’t think there is anything wrong with teaching about Che Guevara as long as the students are taught that he was an abject failure in everything he attempted to accomplish except the mass murder of defenceless men and boys,” said Fontova.
