Although I have to disagree with the guy:
You CAN still tell whether or not a show was produced in Canada within (literally) two seconds — as one of my most popular posts (now lost in the mists of server switching…) put it.
(That lengthy reader-fuelled debate was never resolved, btw. I still believe this “look” has something to do with “film stock” because I am a technical nitwit. Others said “lighting design” and more. I remain unsatisfied, and welcome your ongoing explanations via email or twitter.)
