Check out William Stroock’s new novel, ‘To Defend the Earth’

William Strook’s first novel, A Line Through the Desert (2009) was about a “Jewish Jarhead” trying to survive Operation Desert Storm.

When I chatted with him in 2009, the history prof mentioned “working on a pair of sci-fi story collections.”

Now one of those collections is out.

To Defend the Earth describes how people in various countries react to an alien invasion:

For instance, North Korea tries to ally itself with the enemy, while equally predictably, Muslims in London are no help at all…
