Let’s do for Canadian property rights what we did for free speech

Brian Lilley is leading the charge — and an ordinary, normal Canadian needs your help to fight a legal battle.

Lilley tells his story:

We talk a lot about property rights on Byline and a short while ago I interviewed Bob Mackie about his fight with the Niagara Escarpment Commission over the way he uses his land. Mackie is within zoning regulations but offside the unelected and unaccountable bureaucratic hacks at the NEC.

Yesterday Bob emailed me.

He heads back to court for the verdict in his ongoing legal battle on April 2nd. His legal bills though are mounting and he needs help.

Mackie has already spent $30,000 fighting for his property rights and by extension yours. His lawyer just sent him another bill for $24,832.

I urge you to donate whatever you can to Bob’s legal defence fund. He is getting some help from the local landowners association but is bearing the cost by himself.

One member of the Ontario Landowners Association has started a campaign to get as many people as possible to send just $5. If enough of us did this his legal bills would clear.
