What those ‘hijacked’ Northern Gateway pipeline hearings really need? A song parody (bumped)

January 10, 2012 By Kathy Shaidle

UPDATE — We have our first complete parody song entry, from who else but Scaramouche, the song parody specialist.

They want the pipeline stopped–no ifs or ands or buts.
Said, “Those renewables–like wind and solar–rock,
And that pipeline’s the thing we all must block.”

***

@ForeignPuppets started this meme, cleverly selecting THE most appropriate song to parody, considering the Hollywood celebrities throwing their anorexic weight behind the foreign-funded “greens” who will testify against the pipeline (and, in effect, destroy hundreds of unglamorous jobs for ordinary Canadians.)

What else but the theme from The Beverly Hillbillies?

Rich millionaire couldn’t mind his own business

Although I rather prefer:

Rich millionaire with his own private jet

But anyway, let’s finish the song, starting with the next line:

And then one day…

Add your lines on Twitter, replying to @ForeignPuppets.

Yeah, it’s Twitter, so you’re stuck with a line at a time. You’ll make it work!

Or take up this challenge at your own blog and have fun.

The hearings start today.
