The film is probably the crowning glory of an unofficial genre informally known as Films by People Who Saw Diva and Wished They Were French. If you don’t know what that means, you probably had to be there, and should stop wishing for the rest of us to live through it all over again.
Finally, it’s worth mentioning that none of the special features included with the disc touch on the most salient, significant fact about the film – the blatant homoerotic subtext described by Quentin Tarantino in his onscreen rant in the film Sleep With Me.
