Andrew Coyne’s website is still hacked, but you should TOTALLY rely on his opinions and analysis

Last week I mentioned that Canadian Media Genetic Lottery Winner Andrew Coyne’s website had been hacked.

The WhoIs indicated that he’s the legal owner of the domain name, so really, he could have wrested control of it back pretty easily.

(I mean, these things can be a stressful time suck, but he’s the one with the keys and the pinks for the stolen car.)

But it’s Wednesday, and he hasn’t done anything about it that I can see.

I made a snarky remark at the time, that Coyne was such an Establishment yawn that I couldn’t believe anyone would think he was worth hacking, just because he was suddenly moving from Maclean’s to the National Post (which is the Canadian media moral equivalent of my cat moving from his bed to his favorite chair to continue his nap.)

Anyway, the hacker obviously thinks Coyne’s site is more important than even Coyne does, seeing as the site is still f*cked.

I guess Coyne is too busy writing his careerist hack “on the one hand, on the other hand” columns to protect his branded online properties, or even delegating someone to do so.

Therefore I can’t take him seriously.

PS – Har:

I honestly don’t even know what the hell he’s trying to say. He wants to take us to the prom even though we’re ugly?
