This is old news, but anyway: multiple personality bestseller ‘Sybil’ revealed as hoax

October 17, 2011 By Kathy Shaidle

When I first went to AA almost 20 years ago, the in things were “multiple personality disorder” and people who thought they were victims of Satanic abuse.

The trouble is: you can’t send people like that to “therapy” — because therapy is where they got these ideas, which are first adopted by idiotic psychiatrists and others in the “helping” professions looking for a trendy new thing they can become experts on and go on “Dr. Drew” or something.

While this is old news (to me) I hope it snaps somebody out of whatever “I’m gonna base my life on a book” delusion they may be in.

And yes, I mean any book, be it Sybil or The Fountainhead or the Koran or Theology of the Body.
