The principal of an Islamic boarding school on Buffalo’s East Side has been forced to resign after allegations that he was sexually involved with one of his students and that he claimed to have taken her as a second wife.
Evidence suggests Mohammed Ibrahim Memon, a father of seven, persuaded Sajidah Khan, then 21, to marry under Islamic law as a pretense to sleep with her. […]
Mohammed Ibrahim Memon is the founder of the Darul Uloom School in Buffalo,New York.
The school has now been licensed by the McGuinty Government to open a second location in Chatham, Ontario.
“Tulah Mohammad, the school’s office manager, said, Darul Uloom is registered with the Ontario Ministry of Education as a private school. He added the facility also includes a prayer mosque along with teaching the Ontario school curriculum. Mohammad said Darul Uloom has operated a school in Buffalo, N.Y. for 20 years.”
