TRN and WGST, Atlanta talk show host Rusty Humphries, along with WGST news anchor Jennifer Perry have reportedly been detained in Egypt during their trip to the Middle East.
Humphries is scheduled to broadcast his programs live from Jerusalem today and tomorrow (5/25&26).
Talk Radio Network is reporting that the details of Humphries’ detention are sketchy but that it is hoped he will be allowed to travel on to Israel today.
Ironically, the WGST website promotes Humphries’ broadcasts from Israel with the copy:
“This is it! Rusty and Jennifer Perry are off to Israel, where they hope to get into just enough trouble to make it interesting, but not enough trouble to be detained in the Middle East for any length of time.”
