See, guys: when a “punk band” puts its nation’s flag on its album cover, it’s supposed to look like this — not this.

****ing kids these days.

Anyhow: “Punk band” giving back government grant after international outcry; make things worse by issuing lawyer-speak “apology”:

The material was not intended to be offensive, though we regret it was interpreted that way.

***

When society’s “punk rockers” make “shocking” anti-Christian albums, take government money (!!), then issue cliche-riddled “sorrys” about “not trying to be offensive,” you know the West is doomed.

(One might argue, in fact, that the fellow below and his former bandmates — offensive, and without regrets — accidentally staved off the destruction of England they cheered on in their songs. “Creative destruction” and all that. But the UK’s time’s finally up now…)

Anyway, you’ve got to hand it to this guy: he wrote a song about this Canadian “punk band” years before the members were even born. And he didn’t need a government grant to do it.
