5 Feet of Fury

Don’t be so smug, America. You’re screwed too.

The next commenter at NRO or Hot Air who writes, “Thank God WE have a First Amendment” will be taken out and shot…

The Terry Jones conviction: juror admits they found him guilty because they were afraid of a violent Muslim backlash if they didn’t (video).

Doesn’t that make the jurors “racist”? After all, that’s the “soft bigotry of low expections,” correct?

Or did they decide rationally, based on the considerable evidence of their senses that millions of Muslims are violent retards?

Or did they decide irrationally, because the jury’s foolish decision to fold sends an unmistakable signal to Muslims and ordinary Americans?

Lest you doubt is impossible for individuals to be acutely perceptive, well-informed AND fatally stupid all at the same time — behold!

John Sexton writes:

So free speech was an issue but violence was the important issue.

This is absolutely wrong and not how free speech is meant to work in America.

Allah calls it the “codification of the heckler’s veto” and that’s exactly what it is. We’ve now located that Mosque Exclusion Zone people were talking about last year.

Turns out it’s real in Dearborn, MI where free speech has been excluded from the area around America’s largest mosque for the next three years.

Robert Spencer writes:

Jones was only in jail briefly, and the fine was a symbolic one dollar, but clearly Dearborn authorities see him as a threat to public order. Why?

Was Jones threatening to burn down the mosque, using copies of the Koran as kindling? Did he threaten the Dearborn Muslims—or Muslims anywhere else? Did he strap a suicide vest to himself and detonate it in a crowd of infidels? Did he plant explosives in his underwear and try to blow up an airliner in mid-flight? Did he load a car with explosives and try to explode it on a crowded night in Times Square? Did he murder 13 Americans while shooting “Allahu Akbar” at Fort Hood? Did he murder an American serviceman outside a military recruiting center in Little Rock for Allah and Islam.

To restrict Jones’ right to protest in front of a mosque is to send the signal that violent intimidation works, and that those who killed people in Afghanistan because of Jones’ Koran-burning have achieved their ultimate goal: to make Islam immune from criticism because every potential critic will be afraid to speak out.

That is the road to tyranny. And now we have embarked on it.
