Don’t you feel that at some point in the media coverage, you are being asked to go along with the media herd and pretend you know nothing about mental illness and you know nothing about media and political narcissism, an entire class of people who always want to make everything about themselves, their power, their influence.
Their delusionary thinking does not have to become your thinking. This isn’t yours truly defending Palin. I am defending your right to have your mind treated with respect. I am defending your right not to become a Piñata, a plaything for media turnips, political animals, and ideologues.
Six people were killed on Saturday by a nut. But that is not a reason for you to be treated like a nut, no reason to go off your nut and participate in witchhunts. You can choose to live in Salem. But Salem doesn’t have to live inside you.
