If smallpox blankets were real, how come I can still hear you yacking…?

Last week, everyone was puzzled/outraged by the Canadian Forces’ decision to apologize to the Mohawk Warriors Society for calling them “a potentially violent insurgency group” — even though, among many other things, they have the word “Warriors” in their name…

What was behind this p.c./p.r. insanity, pundits across the land pretended to ask?

Only one really cared what the answer was, because reporting the truth would cost the others their precious cocktail party invitations.

Alas/luckily, “The Phantom” doesn’t have a newspaper column to lose and doesn’t seem like the cocktail party type.

I rarely add “read the whole thing” when I link to someone else’s post.

This time, I insist.
