I’m on record as believing that restaurant owners have the right to decide who to serve and how to organize the seating in their own establishment.
And yes, this include(d) Woolworth’s lunchcounters in the Deep South.
Because, as Goldwater rightly warned, laws undermining that sacred private property right unleashed decades of bureaucratic hell, transfered unheard of power to the State — and increased racial resentment.
There is a direct line from the Civil Rights Act to Kelo.
So I’m addressing this to any leftists reading:
When will you be planning to pull a stunt like this to see what would happen, not only in the restaurant but in the media?
The clock is ticking.
I look forward to getting your email informing me of the date and time of your protest, so I can attend as a spectator.
